About the Printing Process

Custom Bottle Mate printing uses a printing process called pad printing. Pad printing transfers the image on to the Bottle Mate using a silicon pad similar to a stamp. A different pad needs to be made up for each colour so that is why multiple coloured prints cost a bit more. You can read up on pad printing here.

For best results we ask that you provide your logo to us in vector format ie .ai, .eps or .pdf. If you only have your logo in .jpeg or .gif format it is not a problem as we can convert it to vector format for you for a small fee. Our graphic designers can also help design you a custom logo for your special occasion!

The printer will always try to maximise the size of your custom print. Due to the curvature of the Bottle Mate, the maximum custom print size on the side of the Bottle Mate is about 5cm high and 4cm wide. Portrait style logos tend to look the best. We can also print on the top of the Bottle Mate but the size of the print must fit in a circle of diameter 3.5cm.

With regard to colour selection, it is best if you can provide us with the Pantone colour codes of the colours in your logo or design. If not, we can work with you to choose the best colours and ensure they are matched to the original colours.
